As for the nursing side of things, I am slowly transitioning at the hospital. The check in process takes a while and they are trying to figure out what they want to do with me. I guess that this hospital in Yokosuka is not really a normal place for new grad nurses to go so they are trying to develop a nurse residency program here. Hopefully I can sort of help facilitate and give feedback because I know it would be beneficial for new grad nurses in the future. Either way the unit that I think I am going to is very understanding and seems more than willing to help teach me. I just want to learn and soak up as much as I can so even if this hospital wasn't the greatest first duty station for a new grad, I will make the best out of it and learn all that I can! Plus explore an amazing country while I'm at it! :)
Tomorrow I take the driving test for my Japanese license so wish me luck! I am really scared I will turn down the wrong side of the road and this will be my first time driving on the opposite side of the road! I really need prayers! :)
