I received an email a couple of days ago that contained a really good question and I thought I would share the question and my response. One of my fellow nursing students asked if their life would change after they were accepted into NCP? The answer is simple: not really. Other than signing your enlistment paperwork and receiving your monthly stipends your life will pretty much be the same. The Navy does not require you to do anything Navy related until after you pass your NCLEX. Fortunately after acceptance your primary focus is nursing school and keeping your grades up and then ultimately passing the NCLEX. After you pass that test is when the real fun begins, you become a Naval Officer and the adventures begin! :)
